A Multimillionaire Told Me He Felt Dead Inside

alignment healing identity transformation Mar 16, 2026

If you have built a beautiful life on paper—but still, at times, feel empty, disconnected, or like something is missing—this is for you.

This past week, after I spoke at an event as the keynote speaker for a realtor conference, a man walked straight up to me with tears in his eyes.

Before he even said a word, I could feel the weight he was carrying.

He told me he was deeply moved by what I had shared and that he was ready to do the work.

Then he said something I will not forget:

He has an incredible wife.
Two beautiful children.
He is a multimillionaire with an extensive property portfolio.

And yet, in his own words, he felt dead inside.

He wasn’t the only one.

That day, I had nearly ten conversations with different people saying some version of the same thing.

From the outside, they had built what most people spend their entire lives chasing:

The house, cars, family, and the money.
The image of success.

But inside?
They felt disconnected.
Empty.
Unfulfilled.

Quietly wondering why they didn’t feel the way they thought they would feel by now.

This is where so many of the people I work with find themselves before everything changes.

They achieve what they were told would make them happy… only to realize it never touched the deeper wound.

I know this because I lived it.

I grew up believing that in order to feel worthy, I needed to be successful.

If I looked the part, people would respect me.
If I achieved enough, people would finally see me.
If I had enough external proof, I would finally feel like enough internally.

But there was one problem:

No amount of success could silence the voice inside me that said I still had more to prove.

For years, I believed I was only as valuable as my latest accomplishment.
What I did yesterday didn’t count.
What I achieved last month didn’t buy me peace.
So I kept chasing.

More success.
More validation.
More reasons to finally feel whole.

Until one day I realized something that changed my life:

Money cannot make you happy.
Success cannot make you feel worthy.
Achievement cannot heal an internal wound.

That realization sent me on a ten-year journey of studying my mind, my patterns, my emotions, my beliefs, and the stories that had quietly been running my life.

I questioned what I believed.
I uncovered where those beliefs came from.
And I began to understand how profoundly they had shaped not just my results—but my identity.

Today, when God brings someone into my life who is standing where I once stood, I am always reminded that there is divinity in all of it.

Because I know what it feels like to feel broken.
To feel numb.
To feel not enough.
To have the success and still feel the ache.

And I also know what it feels like to live differently.

To live in joy.
To live in truth.
To live in peace.
To make more money than ever, with less force, because success is no longer something I chase to define me.

Now it is a byproduct.
A byproduct of alignment.
A byproduct of wholeness.
A byproduct of finally knowing my worth before the result arrives.

So let this be your reminder today:

You are worthy of the outcome.
But you are also worthy of doing the inner work required to truly hold it.

And it won’t be the same kind of work that got you here.

I’ll leave you with this:

Money cannot make you happy.
But happiness—real peace, real wholeness, real alignment—has a way of making everything you touch more prosperous.
