If You Spot It, You've Got It
Sep 08, 2025
Whether or not you’re tuned in to the shifts in energy, you’re going to feel September. This month has a way of surfacing what’s been stuck—old emotions, limiting beliefs, and outdated patterns that no longer serve the version of you you’re becoming.
It’s designed that way.
The key is not to resist it, but to recognize it. Awareness turns turbulence into transformation.
Life as a Mirror
So many people believe life is about working hard, making money, providing for the family, and saving for a stress-free retirement. But the deeper truth is this: life is a mirror. Every interaction, every moment, is reflecting you back to yourself. Showing you either how far you’ve come—or where you still need to grow.
When you admire a quality in someone else, you’re noticing it because it already exists within you. And when you’re triggered by a trait you dislike in another? That, too, is a reflection. As the saying goes: If you spot it, you’ve got it.
The Science Behind the Mirror
Everything in the universe is energy—nothing is truly solid. What we call “physical” is just energy vibrating at different frequencies. Science confirms what spiritual traditions have always known: like attracts like.
That’s why you notice in others what resonates within you. Their qualities—good or bad—are energetic beacons guiding your personal and spiritual growth.
From Trigger to Teacher
For years, I would get angry when someone cut me off in traffic. It felt disrespectful. But when I looked deeper, I had to ask: Where am I disrespecting others?
It wasn’t obvious at first. Eventually, I realized I often spoke in a dismissive tone with people I had to repeat myself to—usually loved ones or colleagues. The very thing I despised in others was alive in me. When I changed that behavior, the trigger on the road dissolved.
The mirror works in the other direction, too. I once admired a friend who carried themselves with absolute confidence—never bowing to doubt or peer pressure. For years, I wished I had what they had. Then it hit me: if I could recognize and appreciate that quality in them, it must also be within me. The more I leaned into it, the more I stepped into my own unapologetic self.
Your Practice for the Week
This week, try this simple but powerful exercise:
- Notice Your Triggers
Every time you feel irritated, frustrated, or judged by someone else’s behavior, pause. Instead of focusing on what they did, ask:- How did this make me feel?
- Where do I do the same thing in my own life?
- Claim Your Reflections
On a separate page, list the qualities you admire in others—confidence, kindness, creativity, resilience. Then look for where those same qualities live inside you. How can you bring them forward with intention this week?
Remember: the world isn’t happening to you. It’s reflecting through you. If you spot it, you’ve got it.
Here’s your invitation this week: See every interaction as feedback. Every trigger as a teacher. Every admiration as a mirror. And watch how quickly your life expands when you begin to own what’s already inside of you.
